The Outpatient Registrar is responsible for registering patients for OP (outpatient) services by obtaining all necessary information pertaining to demographics and claim preparation. Ensure registration wait times do not exceed 10 minutes from arrival. The Outpatient Registrar is responsible for exercising good judgment in making decisions concerning accounts in order to secure payment arrangements. Conducts patient interviews to obtain registration information, complete required forms and obtains signatures. Represents Crestwood Medical Center as the focal point for all initial communications.
High School diploma or equivalent education
Minimum of 6 months customer service required. Prefer prior medical-related experience and knowledge of medical terminology. Computer literacy required. The incumbent must demonstrate the potential to perform the essential functions of the job. Requires sufficient previous clerical experience, typing skills and knowledge of personal computers, word processing, spreadsheets and other standard office equipment required. Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute required. Medical office experience preferred
